Different relationships when they are going well can bring us joy and fulfilment into our lives. When things start to go wrong and times become difficult, the opposite can happen joy and happiness is often replaced by pain and heartbreak. I work with couples, individuals in a relationship and people who are currently single.
Counselling can offer a space for exploration of what is going wrong in the relationship, Why do we keep getting treated the same way and Why do we keep choosing “Bad” or “destructive” relationships. Gaining an understanding of these patterns and relationships traits can help us find a more balanced relationship.
Working with couples will lead to exploration relating to communication and managing conflict. Sometimes when we choose an independent person who specialises in couple/relationship therapy, this can leave you with feelings of safety and support while exploring the difficulties in your relationship. During the sessions you can be assured that the support will remain impartial, confidential and led by a qualified professional in this field.
Common presenting issues may be:
- Different needs/desires
- Problems with communication
- Cultural differences
- Financial difficulties
- Growing apart
- Seeking help in a separation
- Depression/anxiety in one of both parties.
- Finding a relationship & Dating
- Marriage preparation
- Fertility Issues
